Fantastic Support, Easy & Fundamental Application

I purchased this app back in November to replace an Avery software that I had been using for years. Unfortunately, they discontinued the Avery software support for Mac, so I read the reviews of LPP7 and decided to try it out. The software worked fantastically until Apple’s horrible release of Mavericks completely corrupted it. Now, here is where it gets good. I all together gave up on the app because it kept crashing and refusing to save or print. Instead of contacting the company, I just huffed and puffed about Apple’s release that corrupted it. Here we are in May, I finally got around to contacting their support team. Within an hour I had a reply and a suitable fix for the bug. Ran disk utility and repaired, which took about 10 minutes. I opened the app, and voilà - problem solved! Not only is this app easy to use, nicely designed and applicable for business or personal use, most importantly, their technical support is fantastic and responsive. Give this app a try and you will not disappointed!

This worked great!

I was really nervous about trying this after some of the reviews, but I was desperate! All I wanted to do was run some labels with my name, # and e-mail on them to stick in folders for a project I was doing for my kids school. I could not find any way to do it, so I tried this app. It worked perfectly for 80 labels, and then I used it again for return address labels. I’m on Maverick, and it was extremely simple. I do not work for this company, and only wish it was a little cheaper, but because I was so desperate, it was worth every single penny! Thanks!!!

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY

Hey, like spending a lot of time creating label documents with dozens of addresses? Good, because you’ll get to do it a lot with this app. Go to print the doc … the app crashes. Got to save the doc … the app crashes. Useless, and now I’m out $9.99. Shameful that they have this on the app store.

Great stuff

The only thing I can say about the negative reviews is that their writers dont know how to follow instructions, or they wrote the review before they understood how to work the app. This is a GREAT app! Intuitive and easy to use — IF you take the time to learn how to work it! My wife needed to make some name badges. I taught her how it works, and shes going gang busters on it. I highly recommend it. Pay no attention to the naysayers.

Solution for Maverick OS is online

I gave it 4 stars because I had to research my problem for Maverick OS. Here’s the solution...Known Maverick Issue for LPP7: We have had a few reports of quiting when trying to print or save, and they were able to fix it (and we confirmed this) by selecting one of the labels and making it a favorite (clicking on the gray dot to the left of the product code and making it red - see image). Somehow writing to the preference file fixed the problem. Otherwise it’s pretty easy to use and works for my needs.

Crashes constantly.

Basic app for creating labels, nametages, etc. Unfortunately, useless as it crashes when I try to save or print. Repaired disk permissions as suggested by app, and still had no luck. Running Mavericks on a macbook air.

Not really fixed

While it no longer crashes I cannot get any label to line up and print the correct way, the labels are way off and it prints them on two pages. This app had this bug once before and they fixed it but now it is still useless I am using Mavericks with a hp office jet printer.

Still not fixed!

While this app no longer crashes when you attempt to print in Mavericks now there are new problems! When you print, the labels do not match up. Even after attempting to change printer settings (which I never had to do before) they still dont line up. Also, when you print it always prints two pages. There is nothing on the second page but unless you specify to just print page one than you will always get a second blank page. Please fix this app!!!

For me, version 7.31 was better than 7.32

Used 7.31 successfully for several sticker and label projects (using Mountain Lion). When I uploaded 7.32 I lost image alignments. None of the adjustments got the images where they belonged on the labels. Emailed Tech Support and got immediate answer. Evidently, the problem came about when fixes were made in to remedy Maverick issues. Tech Support advised I return to 7.31 and sent me the download and registration number. That fixed my problems and I am again making cool stickers and labels for business and for volunteer projects. So, while 7.32 did not work well for me I am guessing that the Maverick folks are okay. For sure, the Tech Support couldnt have been better. Any business or person can look good when things are going smoothly; it is the real pro who can look good when things mess up (and they do for everyone sooner or later). If you are looking for a neat, straightforward way to produce labels, stickers, etc. I would absolutely recommend Label Printer Pro. The criticisms Ive read just lead me to believe the user may not have sought a solution or expected more from the app than what it is—a simple way to print labels. If you have a problem, I believe you can be confident their Tech Support will make it right. So, even though the update had a few wrinkles for me, this app still gets a hearty 5 stars. I wish Pay&Play Software every success.

Not very useful for what I need

I teach preschool and I make labels to add kids’ names to items quickly and easily (wet painty projects, their lost tooth in a baggie, etc..) I just want to be able to make a class set of labels on a sheet…I have found with this program I have to enter one individual name at a a time and change the font, center it, etc…then add another name and do the same thing over…it is time consuming BUT I can make it work. THe thing that annoys me the MOST is that the printing does not line up when I print out my labels. I printed (wasted) two sheets of labels this morning becuase the printing isn’t lined up correctly. I I entered the correct label type…why should I have to tweak it? I tried to fix it vertically and horizontally, but the only changes that worked were horizontally. I finally gave up and started shopping for a different program/app.

New update horrible

Ever since the recent update labels will not line correctly. Ive been using this software for two years prior and never had a issue until now, but cant seem to get it resolved.

Stopped working

Updated to the current version and a product that worked perfectly no longer will even open. Time to find another product.

Poorly Designed and Frustrating to Use

The Avery product templates do not fit the actual Avery products. The registration is off and they will not print on the Avery labels as expected. For example, the Avery 5266 template, whihc has 30 file labes on one page, displays (and prints) with only 29 on page 1 and the 30th on page 2. You cannot adjust to make the tmeplate work. This is true for all the Avery label templates I have tired. If I could rate this lower than 1 star I would. This product is a total waste of money.

Label Printer Pro 7

This App has completely stopped working. Complete Junk.

Alignment of labels

I am using OS X Yosemite and can not get the labels to line up with the characters. I have tried to adjust vertically but will only adjust down. It will adjust horizontally. So to compensate to get the job at hand done I adjusted the characters down to the next label. That way I lost the whole first line of labels. This was on Avery 5267 label sheets. On the Avery 8160 labels it was aligned horizontally but about two lines down vertically. Not real happy with this expense of $9.99 for something that doesn’t work as advertised.

Alignment Ruined!

Everything worked great, used it for over a year. Then, BAM, the alignment is all messed up and now I can’t print my labels. I have tried all of the options in the preferences. I am ready to delete this APP and purchase a new one. Shame on you Computer Nerds, you should have pushed a fix for this immediately!

Needs Work

Fix the alignment.

Not Worth It!

I have come to dread printing labels because I know I’m going to have to fight with this app to obtain even mediocre results. Today was the last straw, when I couldn’t get it to align “up” (why should I have to tweak the alignment, anyway??!!). I have deleted the app and am now looking for a new one. Apple/Mac has sure missed the boat in not endowing “Pages” with at LEAST the same capabilites as Word—that’s the least I would expect from Apple. Otherwise, why did I pay the outrageous price for my 15” MacBook Pro/Retina?! Certainly not for second-class features in a basic, utilitarian app such as Pages. Humph.
